Only in MyFICO Forums could I learn that 7-10 business days is a probable denial, while 2 weeks is a probable approval.

Unfortunately, mine is a "7-10 business days" response Smiley Sad

Couple weeks ago I had the 7-10 day message for the Freedom and it turned out to be a letter from the fraud department asking to call and verify identtiy.

Approved immediately after.

Is there a link to check the status of a chase application?

Yes.  If you are a current Chase card holder then login to your account and there is a link once you click the menu on the left side of the page.

It sounds as if the approvals that happen with the 7-10 day message are either related to verification or because two apps are pending at the same time. Those are the only 7-10 folks I've seen be approved. YMMV though, nothing is ever set in stone.

Good luck CA and to others applying! Smiley Happy

This was my thought also, based on the threads I've read.

Re: Chase 2 weeks vs 7-10 days?

There should be an online status too?  Sounds like you got approved for one and not the other.  7-10 days is normally a denial for me.  Good luck.

Well the "7-10" day message was a denial for me. It was still up there when I got my denial letter in the mail.
