Yea I am just sitting tight. I don't want to call in and talk to anyone unless I get denied and have to recon. Given the amount of credit I have with chase I figure I may be borderline. If it gets to the last week of March and the changes to the 5/24 are about to occur I might bite the bullet and app though. I don't want to be trying to recon when that new policy kicks in.
yea the increase was a hard pull to my ex credit report and the new policy for chase will be hard to recon.

@Anonymous wrote:18004367927 lol i have that puppy memorized. its been the same thing for everyone i know, no instant approvals most of the time, auto line says 30 days...about 2 weeks thru its approved and a week later the card comes.
So basically there is no reason for me to spend time calling the line in the first two weeks, because it usually takes that long for review?
I called in and got a message or whatever to call the fraud department... Wanted to know it was me that apped because it was on the tail end of a spree which I apped for the CSP right before. Did get approved for the card

Except the OP provided some reasons why he was hesitant to call - it was posted right below the one you quoted. So, his reasons versus yours would likely fare a different outcome. Hence, why individuals wait it out.

I had 4 prior Chase cards when I apped for the Marriott card.
Chase Amazon 2/14
Chase Freedom 6/14
Chase Sapphire 6/14
Chase Sapphire Preferred 8/14
Marriott App was after but same day as CSP 8/14. I can also probably bet OP history is way better than mine when I apped with like 35 INQ's on my EX with over half being brand spanking new or close to a year old almost. So in theory I would say he has a better shot.

Do you an the OP have the same exact profile?
I had several active Chase cards (6) prior to the last app cycle that included IHG, AARP, BA and Hyatt ...my results fared much better by not calling.

I would definitely stop trying to poke the bear aka Chase. I should know I have 8 of their cards. Just do you like FinStar Said and lay low wait it out.

If I was in the market for another chase card idk... the 5/24 rule will apply for me for quite a while and I have no interest in chase cards in the moment. That alone is preventing me from apping with Chase ![]()
I do have interest in the new FU but I will be PCing my Slate into that.
