Chase Amazon...No App on File but w/ HP

Hello,

Reaching out to the community because I'm having a heck of a time applying for the Chase Amazon Visa and was hoping someone could share some insight. I applied on the Amazon app 2 days ago, received a bunch of weird messages with the screen flashing constantly, then received the 30-day message. Figured they might have some verification questions so I called and they told me they had no application on file even though I have a HP from Experian. They admitted that this was weird but said that there's nothing they can do because in their system "I don't exist." I never received an email with a reference number or anything. I've called numerous Chase numbers and they've all said that there is no application on file, but the Amazon page says that I can't reapply because I've already applied in the last 30-days. I then asked if they could at least remove the HP since they don't have an application to consider and they said no because they have no documentation to even dispute. They said I could wait for something in the mail but also admitted that if they don't have an application on file I might not receive anything in the mail...I've called a few times and each time they say they have no application, state that this is weird, and then say maybe it'll show up in a few days but there's a good chance it won't and there's nothing they can do to remove the HP. Called Experian and they said that even though Chase is in the wrong there's nothing they can do about the dispute since I did submit the application. Does anyone have any insight into what's going on and what I can do about this? I've pretty much given up hope on ever getting the card so now I just want to regain my 4 points and dignity if at all possible. Thanks!

Same thing happened to me when I apped for this card couple of months ago! It has gone to manual review. Just give it couple of more days and then you'll have something.

In my case they approved me with nice SL.

Just give it little more time without calling and escalating in case there is hope for approval.

There is a phone number that you can check the stats of your application with Chase but I don't have that with me now. I can add it later.

Weird that it doesn't say that the application is pending or under review or something that at least acknowledges they received it. I guess I'll try to be as patient as possible and not bug them any more than I already have. I called the application hotline and the bot informed me of approval! Got an email from them couple of days later to officially given the approval!

The conversation that I had with their supervisor, he said as long as it was not an instant denial you still have a good chance for approval!

The thing is this card was not as easy to get before! Last summer Amazon wanted to leave Chase but then they agree to stay with some changes from Chase.

Now you have better odds of approval with higher SL even with 5/24. But there are more manual reviews in the process.

Ahh gotcha. I called again just for kicks and the robovoice is still saying that there's no application but I won't give up all hope just yet. Maybe not having an application is better than having a denied application lol. And I'm sure situations like these are exactly why Synchrony has the store card. Not ideal but not an awful back-up solution for 5% rewards.
