Good Luck!
😱
Got my letter today, I was declined. Called recon, waited half an hour. Rep answered, couldn't verify me, put me back to waiting. New rep half a hour later, asked if they could reconsider. She put me on hold, Cameron back, declined for short credit history. Average 8 months.

Sorry about your denial...Wait around 6 months or so and drop another APP.
I really want this card, so I sure will. Thanks!
Sorry about your denial. I also applied for the Amazon Prime Rewards Visa card. After a few days, the status changed from "30 days" to the "7-10 days" message. I am waiting for the letter to arrive so I can call them for a recon.
After receiving the latest app status update, I looked for other options because I needed to shop in Amazon these past few days. I went ahead and applied for the AMEX Business Prime card. I was instantly approved and used that instead.
I would still call Chase for a recon even though I already have the Business Prime card. As explained by @imaxmous in my other post, I find Chase's cashback redemption method better than the AMEX card.
If you often buy stuff in Amazon, you should also check the AMEX Business Prime card while you are waiting to re-app for the Chase card.
Look into the Amex Business Prime card. Imo, it's a much better card. Plus Chase typically will only extend 50% of your income as credit, so leaving more room for a CF, CFU, or CSP/CSR is a plus.
How can I do the Amex Business Prime if I don't own a business?
I don't have a legal business name (yet) registered to me either. I have a non-profit website offering technical help. From time to time, I also sell used stuff or flip goods in OfferUp. That can be considered a "business".
I read that applying for an AMEX business cards (not sure about other banks) won't result in a hard pull. It will not be reported to your personal credit reports either.
It is really worth trying especially if you are looking to get that 5% cashback from your Amazon purchases.
Eeek! I almost applied today but once I saw it was Chase I didn't. They are tough. Wish it was another carrier.
