Late last night while going through my credit cards and bank accounts, needed to buy something from Amazon as a Prime member! So I figured why not try Chase Amazon Prime Sig again!
Last time I tried them was 7/6/20 and got declined… I was hoping for Amazon to move to another bank last year but now it seems they are going to stay together for a while. I’m not a big fan of Chase because of their 5/24 rule, SL, APR and HP CLI but this is a store card so all of that is not that significant and I use Amazon Prime so benefits would be nice from their credit card.
Long story short I cold apped but received the “Unfortunately, an immediate decision about your app...” came up and I’ll get a letter in the mail within 30 days. OK fine so they denied me again 😥
In the morning I noticed no notifications for HP! My guess was Experian but some reported Equifax but noting! So I called Chase and CS rep said a very interesting thing: There was no application received with your SS in our record in the past 30 days! OK! So what happened to my app from last night? They can’t see it!
Chase CS rep suggested to wait for the “letter in the mail” I was about to tell him, I am a MyFICOer! We do not wait for a letters in the mail… But they can’t find my application so I guess I have to wait for the “letter in the mail” 😱😤😡😭

Since your application was submitted late last night, and you received an email notification, why not let things play out? This is one of those situations where exercising a little patience doesn't hurt.
Sometimes, depending on which queue the application might be sitting, it's possible the system hasn't registered the information to load into the status pipeline. I would say, give it 24-48 hours, then call the automated system to check its progress.

Dumb question - since you made a comment about "store card" are you 100% positive you applied for the Chase Visa and not the Synchrony card?

That is the thing! I did not received any emails from them and no reference number. The msg I got was at the end of application.
However I never had anything approved from Chase before so I was under impression you'll get a respond in 15 second as they said. Didn't think they would actually manually review an app!

Most people assume this, which is not always the case. Thousands of applications go into different stages of review depending on what flagged the application. Just like there can be instances of automatic approval decisions, not everyone will receive an automatic decision response in 15 seconds. Chase isn't alone as far as applications requiring further review.
@FinStar If there is still a chance of approval, that would be awesome! Been after this card for past few years. 🤞

That depends on what Chase says about your credit report.
If you don't get it, you can always try Affintiy FCU Cash rewards as it's 5% Amazon yr around.

Your comment about this being a store card threw me off, too, but I see from your screenshot that it really was the Chase card, not the Amazon store card. Okay...
Since you're a Prime member, and you're interested in a card that rewards you for that, and *if* the Chase card is not approved, I highly recommend applying for the Amazon Prime Store Card. Yes, it's through the dreaded Synchrony, but its 5% cash back on all Amazon purchases is awesome. I've had this card for years and have never felt inclined to apply for the Chase version instead, as I already have plenty of other major credit cards. I just wanted the 5% cash back! Also, there's no HP when asking for a CLI.
@SoCalGardenerYou are correct I should have used Co branded Card. 👍
I just received an Experian alert for HP from Chase/JPMCB! 🧐
Now that it seems my application is alive and under consideration or review, here are some DP for either way.

Hopefully I hear something good soon! But now I'm thinking should have waited till I was under 5/24 before apping! 😅
