Chase Amazon - Rejected with data points

Applied for Chase Amazon on 7/15 and immediately said my credit report is frozen and declined.

I had all three unlocked. 

I got an alert 7/16 that they pulled EQ. Strange because after it said declined, I immediately refroze them.

Finally had time to call in today. I asked for a reconsideration where I spent 28 mins explaining my credit file.

He comes back and says sorry it's still declined. 

723 and 2 INQ's showing DTI is 11% and two new cards in the last two years.

Just now, I get an alert to another HP on EQ?

Now I am upset...What can I do?

When did you unlock them and how far in advance before you applied?  Often times there can be delays by the CRAs in performing a full delta on unlocking or unfreezing. 

Make sure, before you reach out to Chase, that your actual reports (not CMS) reflect that a double HP was incurred as there's a possibility that the CMS alert could be a duplicate of the first one when you applied. Unless, when you called, a 2nd one was accessed which is sometimes possible with any reconsideration or re-review of the application. There are prior DPs on the double pull.

Could it be an auto-decline because of the BK7 discharge?

I also got rejected on this one too.
After Amazon repeatedly prompted me to apply.
Still get prompts to apply... and it still burns.
(For me.. I think it was that I'd opened new lines of credit recently..  or it could be the BK. Not sure).

I had patience and waited for my letter and my EQ to update. You were correct. It was two notifications but only one HP.

About the ads, did you notice a point at which the ads went away after applying, and then returned, or did they never just go away (and did you cold app, or app from a prequal?)

I'm trying to read the stars to figure out my own app, and at almost a week with no word, I'm assuming it's a denial.     But one tiny ray of hope is that the ads for the card were replaced with ads for the store card and the business card right after apping.  So far, it's still showing those ads and not ads for the Chase card.  I don't know if it means much or not but it's the last shred of optimism I'm clinging to! Since you mentioned taking note of the ads as well, you may be able to add to that.

Was Chase included in your bk7?

No - Chase was not included in my BK7.

I was also declined for the Chase Amazon (all scores at or above 700, BK7 discharged in April 2014).  Reason they gave me was too many recently opened accounts, which, honestly, isn't an unfair assessment.

Were you prequalified and still turned down? I am prequalified and was probably going to go for it in September but I am over 5/24 and if their preqaul isn't legit then I would rather not take a swing right now. I already have their Store Card.
