Chase App Question - Multiple apps 7-10 day/2 week message

I am supposed to be in the garden, but had some CO fall off in the last couple days and so after being denied last fall, I figured I'd give Chase one more try before any more new accounts hit my report as I have two pending to show up on my reports which would put me over their 5/24 rule.

I know the 5/24 rule may not apply in this situation since it is a co-branded card, but I went for the one I actually wanted first to be on the safe side, and I apped for the Disney Premier Visa because we go to Disney all the time (Florida resident AP holders - visit at least 8-10 times per year).  Knowing I was going to be facing the 5/24 rule for sure on any main Chase card anyway, I figured I'd also app the Freedom last night since it seems to be one of the easier ones to get and it would be on the same pull.  My scores are not up to par for the higher tier cards and I know that, but I thought I might have a chance at this one and since it could be my last opportunity to get in the door for two years, I figured why not.

For both accounts, I received 30 day notices via e-mail. Initially, after calling the app update line on the Disney, it gave me the 7-10 day message.  Last night, after apping for the Freedom, I called again and it stated they had two apps on record for me.  It said the first one I would be notified in two weeks, and for the second one it gave me the 7-10 day message.  It seems like with the two week message I have a pretty good chance of getting approved, but now I'm not sure which card it is for.  The first app was technically for the Disney card, but it also initially gave me the 7-10 day message on that.   But I am thinking the Disney is easier to get than the Freedom so it probably just changed to the two week notice.

I'd love insight from someone whose had a similar experience with  their apps and messages.  I'd really like to have at least one of their cards before I really have to spend quality time with Mary Mary in the garden.

It's impossible to know which one is listed first or second on the message.  I recently went thru this and they inverted my two applications when I applied for two back to back.  I think your instincts are right that it's probably the Disney application that will be approved but you never know for sure with Chase.  Good luck and I hope both end up being approved.

based on your orginal post you will be approved for the disney visa, and the freedom will be a decline.

Coming back for the data point.  Got the denial letter on the Disney Visa today. Smiley Sad

This card started out with the 7-10 message so it seems like they may have reversed them and that the two week was actually for the Freedom.  Regardless, I am now expecting to be denied on that as well.   (Too many inqs and too many new accounts were listed among the denial reasons)

I thought about a recon, but on the off chance the Freedom is still possible, I'm not going to do it as I don't want to potentially cause an issue there.  I think having another Chase card could possibly help me with getting the Disney one in the future if I still want it. I also suspect that even if I was successful on recon, it would probably be really low limit as I've read about that being the case for a lot of folks.

If I I decide I still want the card,  I'll  try again when my accounts have aged and my scores should be higher.

Hmmm... did this clairvoyant advice channel from Miss Cleo? Smiley Very Happy because OP was not approved for the Disney card.  While some initial information on the OP's thread may "clue in" on some things that may look favorable, the outcome would not always yield as such - at least not until the decision is final.

Well based on what Chase bank does 95% of the time if you call into the automated phone line and receive the two week notice then your account will be approved. Are there exceptions to this ? Im sure there is...Hey Ms. Cleo isnt right all the time either...I.E. she went to jail!!
