I got that same message last month and it took WEEKS, but I finally got a letter in the mail asking me to call a number to confirm my identity / that it wasn't a fraudulent app and I did and was approved for Chase Freedom with a $500 unsecured limit. Not much, but I'll take what I can get and it's 5% cashback on gasoline through September, woo!

PS. I had been declined on the Chase Amazon Visa at the same time and received that letter pretty quickly. I might recon that now that I got approval on Freedom. Almost forgot about that as I had recon'd Synchrony on the Amazon store card and found Synchrony is impossible to recon.

Don't give up yet! Give it a few weeks. May be good news!

Got the same thing today. Called in. Denied due to more than 5 new accounts in 2years. How many new accounts do you have? Hopefully you get the card.

I called in a got the same exact message..

To many new accounts within the last 2 years. Not eligble for a reconsideration..

That sucks...

Anybody have an success after hearing this news...???

I knew better than to even try. 😡 I was on a roll with approvals from Amex citi and venture. 😁

I got denied for both citi and venture one..

Same thing happened to me and it took weeks and a phone call for verification from Chase, but I was finally approved for my United Mileage card.
