Idk if they look at public records the same way they do collection accounts but ... they accepted me with 2 collection accounts about the same age as your public record ( drop off August ) .

Sorry. I should have clarified that I live in the Midwest, and for me and my friends, who have  Chase cards, they were all pulled at least TU. I was puled TU and EX

I see. I never get pulled EQ, only time was a Double pull by Walmart with TU

Dh applied with a score of 670. Chase pulled Experian approved 3000 instant approval. By the way he has 1 public record and 3 collection. You never know!

I say go for it.  My average account life is less than 2 years, and my scores are lower with 20+ inquires.  My utilization was about 30-40% as well around this time.  Applied for the SWA Premier CC and was approved for $7500.  A month later, applied for the CSP and was approved for $8500.  Ended up moving some of the CL from SWA to the CSP.

 

All of this started in June/July this year.
