Chase-CLI or Another app? And Bonus points?

Hey everyone. So I just recently got approved for CSP with a $5k line last week. I'm going out of the country in May, and wanted to use the CSP towards my spend for the 40,000 Bonus points. But I wanted a higher credit line.

So is it better to ask Chase for a CLI on my CSP at the end of next month? Or would it be better to just app for a new Chase card and hopefully get a higher CL, and move that over to the CSP?

Also, as far as the bonus points go. This may sound ignorant, but if I spend $4,000 and get the 40,000 bonus points, am I only getting the 40,000 bonus points, or am I also getting the additional points for spending the $4,000? (Hope this question makes sense).

CLI will warrant a separate HP.

You get the 40k + pts from purchases

Can you meet the spend on CSP and Freedom? If so, that's the way to go. You will get additional points on spend on top of the bonus. Be careful about the CLI request. You're not guaranteed an increase.

I don't have an issue with another HP (well I kind of do it's an EX pull), but I do want to use the CSP on trip. I already have 5 EX inquires (including Chase), but Chase already saw the other 3, I tried for an AMEX ED right after my CSP approval, but was denied.

Yeah, I definitely can meet the spend on both. But are they usually generous with CL on Freedom?

Honestly if they only gave you 5K, It is likely that you will only waste an HP in vain trying for CLI so soon after initial approval.

My utilization was 26%, when I ask for an increase or app another time, utilization will be 0%-10%. So I'm hoping I'll have a better chance of succes..

I find they're more generous on the credit limit for the CSP, so if approved, I would be expecting something less than 5K.

CSP spend will get you at least 49K in points (40k for bonus, 4k+ for rewards, 5k for adding AU)
