Hi,
I've been seeing the posts about Chase now doing CLI's as soft pulls. Just called for my sister and they informed me they were going to do a hard pull and immediately told them no. Wondering if I should call them back and speak with somebody else and see if there's a different outcome. She has a credit score of 790, with 2 inquiries and 2% utilization.

Hang up and call again. The policy only changed a few weeks ago so it might be news to a few folks in customer service. I think I have seen a few instances of CSRs noting it will be a hard pull, only for the hard pull to never happen for the CLI request because of the new policy.

She was there with me and she talked, but she's new to all this credit stuff and I help her out. Nothing shady about it.

Yeah definitely call again. I was told it would a HP in early morning but then call again in that same afternoon? It was a SP. It may or may not be instant decision tho, my request needed further view, it showed a CLI 40 minutes later on the account on-line.
