Chase CLIs

Does Chase ever do automatic cli's or does it require a requested cli?

Re: Chase CLIs

They do them, but not often. My Freedom just got automatically bumped from $1700 to $3700 a couple days ago. I received no notification about it, just saw a small note on my statement after I saw a higher limit in the app.

I had just applied (and gotten approved for) the Amazon Prime Visa (also Chase) so that might have had something to do with it.

Re: Chase CLIs

GF got a $5500 SP CLI offer via email on her Disney Visa a few weeks back (CLI amount was not disclosed in the email- she clicked the green button and that's what it ended up as)
NFCU $60.4k/PenFed $22.5k/Commerce $15K/53 $11K/Synovus $14K/BBT $11K/CapOne $12K/DCU $7.5K/BMO $7.5K/Chase $14.5k/Cabelas $10K/ and many many more!
Total CL $398600, plus car and RV loan.
Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

Re: Chase CLIs

I've had the Freedom since Feb 2014, started off at 2k, got automatic CLI in Apr 2015, for only 500 bucks lol bringing up to 2.5k

I called in Sept 2016 to ask for a CLI and they said it would required a HP, I said nvm just merge my amazon card, they did and it went  up to 4.5k

Chase is really pissing me off with their refusal to give me more credit. Only reason I keep the card is bc the 5% back is quite valuable, (they know this too)

How long did you have the Freedom card and what was your typical monthly spend/payment pattern?

If I were you, I'd just apply for another Chase product that is known to give a large SL like the CSP or CSR.  You can earn a $500 bonus with a $4k spend, then after hitting your bonus just sit on the card for a little while and before the 1 year mark hits and the AF would come up move your limit over to the Freedom and close out the Sapphire.

Re: Chase CLIs

I've had auto SP CLIs on my Freedom Unlimited and Freedom, each one going from $2k to $3k pretty much right after my 3rd statement closed. I'm hoping that in another 6 months I'll get another CLI Smiley Very Happy

And what were your monthly spends on those cards for those 3 cycles?
