Chase Credit Card Application - 2 Experian Pulls

I applied yesterday for the CSP, and unfortunately was denied. I called the recon line and was further denied (it was a long shot as I am in rebuilding mode). I received the alert from Experian that an inquiry was made, I reviewed and it was from Chase Cards. Fast forward to today, I just received another alert and have a new inquiry from JPMC - Card Services.

Any idea why they would have done another hard pull? Also, why the 2 different names of the the company that pulled the report?

They're confused and having an identity crisis.  Anyway, your recon probably resulted in another HP to review your reports again.

Seems as though they would have had all the information from the original app that was about 1 hr before I called. Is that normal? This has now added an additional HP on my report.

It should recode as 1 pull after some time passes since they happened on the same day.  If not call them and tell them about it and they'll fix it.

It's not uncommon for pulls to show with slightly different names from the same bank. Because you called for recon, they probably did another pull. My guess is the bureau will end up combining the pulls as a duplicate.

Or it could be two different credit monitoring services notifying you of the same pull, or a pull from different CRA.

Just an update, the 2 inquiries were merged to 1 under JPMC.
