Applied tonight for the Chase Freedom and got the 7-10 day message... Got approved last week for the CapitalOne Venture card 5K limit... which I had the same message and all capone needed was some info faxed.. Chase pulls EX per Credit pull database which is one of my better scores so i guess we will see, really want to use that 0% BT for 15 months. Anyone else have success on recon or with this issue? EX = 668 with no baddies just some UTLI... i do have a fraud alert that i need to get removed on EQ so i guess if they pulled that, that might be the reason but yet again.... no alerts yet
Did you check the automated line yet?
I would def recon when you can. Make the most of your HP.
I got the 7-10 message with similar scores and my recon was successful.
good luck!
Definetly call the recon line. I got 7-10 day message with my southwest card and then was approved w/ no call. I was to chicken to call cuz I had high untilization & thought for sure it was a denial. For my CSP card I also got the 7-10 day message. Called recon line immediately. Call took 20 minutes w/ 2-4 of actual conversation (rest was on hold). While I was on hold, I got an e-mail that said thanks for your app, we'll mail you a decision in the next 30 days (I'm assuming that would have been a denial). The Chase rep came back online and approved me for a very large limit. I was stunned. She didn't ask me any questions other than my personal info but I was ready to answer questions about why I wanted that card.
3 CC apps in Decemeber, all 3 got the 7-10 message. All 3 approved..Only one I had to answer a couple questions, the other two it showed up approved a day later. YMMV but I wouldn't worry about a 7-10 message. My best CL are from 7-10 day messages.
I initially got the 7-10 days message when I applied for my Chase Freedom in December.
I called the recon number listed in the sticky around here, answered a couple of verification questions (name, DOB, SSN, etc.), she put me on hold for a couple of minutes, then came back and told me I was approved. I suspect it was verification due to a thin file.
Not sure if this matters much but Chase pulled EQ for me, I'm in Southern California.
