I got greedy with my wife's recent Discover approval for an increase from $8800 to $15800, so we applied for the only card left that we wanted, given that her score more than qualifies her for this card, I hoped for an easy approval. Apparently, we have to wait for a decision by mail. Does this mean definite denial? We are under the 5/24 rule. Our utilization is low. She didn't add myself or our daughter as AUs yet (not sure if it matters, but we rarely include AUs on the app)
I vaguely remember a phone number we can call to check applications.
Edit: Automated system says two weeks... not sure if that's good or bad, I would assume a denial would be speedier though)

I believe it is more likely than not to be approved.
2 weeks is generally good. 7-10 days is when I'd worry.
@FalconSteve, You may want to call in "IF" you get a denial letter?
They posted my denial letter online, so I called in immediately ...
Asked politely if they could reconsider my application.
Here is the outcome of a "Chase denial" ...
I am not saying that it will work for everyone, but you got nothing to lose in tryin.
Good Luck!
ETA:
The phone # I called "here"
You should be good there, most DP's point to the 14 day as a good sign. Granted, nothing is guaranteed but its usually the 7-10 day message that leads to a denial. Good luck!
If it does wind up coming back denied, let us know. That would be an interesting data point.

You were correct, I just logged in to Chase and there is a new card🍾
The CL is $10,300. If memory serves, Chase doesn't offer SP CLI. I guess we have to wait for a new card to come out for us to covet a card again. Once we move, we'll likely get a new Lowe's card (I stupidly let mine close for non-use). I also wish gas rewards included EV charging. I don't currentky have a. car at all, it is just that seeing that as a benefit was disappointing.
Thanks to everyone who answered (45 second "instant" decisions are stressful for me, this was torture)
