Chase Freedom CLI denial

I applied a CLI on my Chase Freedom card.  I filed BK in 2013 and got the card in 2017.  I have always paid the card on alongwith 98% of my other accounts. I was DENIED due to bankruptcy and serious delinquency.  NO DUH?  I called again to recon and the lady upheld the previous reps decision to deny based on BK.. THing is I had the BK on record before I even got the card.  My credit has improved tremendously. I have one 30 day late on another card from last year.  But the Serious Deliquency is the accounts that are IIB. What else can I or should i do?

Have patience and try again in 90 days?  Seriously... everyone's belts are tightened. Try again in 90 days.

Thanks for that! The lady did say things have gotten stricter with COVID. I felt she was just pushing me away. But your response gives her some sort of credibility.

Id wait til the BK falls off along with all the IIB accounts. You have a history of BK along with a recent late. Try getting CLIs on cards that do not HP

Rumor is Chase has tightened up on us with a BK. Simply the presence of the BK is auto denial now. Sucks but it is what it is. We can just be thankful we got in before they changed the rules
