Denied for my first chase card (Freedom Flex) for having too many open accounts (7) and high lines of credit. Also my credit history is "too new". My credit history goes back to 2012. I just switched to banking with them but DD hasn't hit. Maybe I should've waited to build more of a relationship.
@DoctorManhattan, Sorry for your denial
Have you tried "recon"?
I was able to get a "Chase United denial overturned."
I am quite sure my profile at the time was pretty scary.
Really? How did it work out and what did you say if you can please help with pointers.
And I am going to wait until my DD hits on Friday to recon. Maybe that will help?

Read post #2, I edited to add.
Call recon, be polite and explain yourself about the reasons given about the denial. I've been denied for my Amazon Prime card and CLI request on my CFU, but i called recon for both and got them approved.

I don't think DD will really help unless you're running six or seven figures through it.
Sorry about the denial.
As others have said, it's definately worth giving recon a shot.
How old are your accounts? If you have more than 5 revolving accounts less than 24 months old they will automatically deny.

I make a decent living, nothing crazy, but six figures.
