Hey there guys,
Long time lurker. Anyway for the past six months I have been trying to rebuild my credit after neglecting it for about two years (My score was at 595). Earlier in Feb, I got the Discover IT secured card with the base $200 limit. I also used to have two Capital One cards, but I couldn't pay those off properly while I was in college because all of my money I earned at that time went to rent, etc. Those two went to collections and I recently paid one off. Due to that my credit scored rose a bit and I then saw a prequalified offer for the Freedom Unlimited card on my Chase checking app. Decided to jump the gun and apply for it last Friday. I got the generic "Thank you for reaching out to us, we will get back to you blah blah," with no ETA.
Decided to call lending services today to see what was up and they said they are going to transfer my call to someone else, but when they did the office was closed. Called lending services again and they gave me the Chase verification phone number to call when they re-open up in the morning.
I have never dealt with verification before, so my question is that will they tell me if I'm approved or denied on the spot? My scores are EX - 624, TU - 663 and EQ - 668

Thanks for that flowchart, will probably come in handy in the future.
But the number they gave me is different than what is on there. Should I just call the number on the chart instead?
To check your Chase credit card application status by phone, call 1-800-432-3117, follow the prompts and enter your Social Security number. To check your application status online, log into your account, click the main menu symbol at the top left of the page (three horizontal lines), and select “Application status
Thanks, but they told me to call the 877.470.9042 number.
Anyway I gave them a call this morning and they asked me a few questions. They then said they would process the app and I should hear back in about one to two weeks which sounds like I'm going to get denied lol

Just keep checking the app status line.
Well, last Friday Chase sent me an online message saying I need to send them some documents. Did that the same day, called the robolady today to see if my app status has been updated and it went from 7/10 days to 30 days.

30 days means it's in limbo (likely since they are awaiting a human to look at those documents), and is better than 7-10 days. Keep calling robolady and hopefully it changes to the 2 weeks message soon.
I just called again a few minutes ago and robolady said I was approved! I logged into my app and I noticed the card was there underneath my checking account. Shocked to be quite honest since my credit scores aren't exactly great, but happy nonetheless. Hopefully next year I'll be able to get the United Explorer card.

Congrats! Whats your SL?
MOD can you move this to these approvals
