Thanks for your kind reply. I applied for the united mileage because I have a long trip soon. I knew somebody did get approved with short history just like mine. If I want to apply the barclays arrivial card, do you think I have chance to be approved? and Soon, I will have my Amex blue cash prefered card, which may would add some points in my credit history.

Chase likes history and they don't rely on Ficos just for approvals. They also have an internal score they go by.. Whoever got approved, look at their data carefully. Where they an AU on a card? Do they bank with chase etc... But I have seen people here with short history getting approved so I may be wrong. You can try and recon. Keep us posted.
yeah, I would call again, but I do not how to argue with them so they give approval. they would say you do not have enough credit cards and the history is not long enough. I need some points to let them believe me.

@Anonymous,
Is your Amex reporting? Is your report clean? If it is yes to both, then call and be CONFIDENT on the phone. Don't rush to explain yourself and don't tell them you call before and analyst said this and that. Let the 2nd analyst review and don't offer opinions. If the analyst comes back and says you don't have enough history, tell them you know you don't have a year under your belt. But you have a Discover (Impeccable record) and an Amex approved for 5.5k. You want this card because you have heard great things about chase the card offers great perks you'd like to take advantage off. If the analyst ask how much you are looking for, DONT GIVE A NUMBER. Just say the maximum you qualify for and will be happy with any amount if approved. Don't be nervous. You can do it. Keep us posted.
I say don't give a number because all you need is to get in with chase. Once you are in, you are IN. I started my chase card with a $1,000 limit. Just show them you are the perfect customer once you have it and they will love you. The credit thing is a game. Master it and you come out a winner.![]()
I applied the Amex Blue cash prefered and got approved at 5.5K one week ago. And I just have one discover credit card and keep for 11 months now. My fico score is 738 and Tu is 723. I never pay late and everything keeps well. I do not have any negative aspects during the periods I do with discover it.

So, your EQ shows 738? and TU 723?
@ Yes it me, Thanks a lot. I do not have amex report and the amex card is not posted to my FICO and TU reports, maybe the reason is the card still on the way. But for my discover card, the report is very clean. I am thinking to wait for a week and then maybe my amex card is posted to these credit reports, then call the reconsider phone again. How do you think?
