Re: Chase Freedom denied me but I have 738 FICO and 723 TU, how to argue? need help

I just want to grasp the special offer that is not available public at present.

If I can get the card, rocky is also good for me.

I just feel the Rep was in somnambulism state when talking to me. And she was so impatient to listen to me. Seems just not want to listen to my explanation.

I would try again tonight.

@Anonymous,

Excellent.. Keep your head up and let us know how it goes.  Even if they say no, don't be disappointed because you can be in 2 months.  Remember, the credit game is all about strategy and patience.

@Anonymous,

Do you think I need to directly tell the analyst that I want a reconsideration? or just say as you told me before?

I just realised that they have the record.

Oh they have a recond of every conversation you have with them.. Maybe one will crack...  Most likely as stated you are going to have to wait a few months... If you have time and the will power, keep reconing as they might crack or slap a restraining order on you....either way you are showing them you really want the card, no one is questioning that!

@Anonymous,

No, don't bring it up and until he brings it up.  If the analyst says you have already called before, tell him I know and thank him for bringing it up..  Proceed to tell him why you want the card, your trip and what I told you to say earlier on the recon for the freedom.  If you don't mind me asking, what is the offer on the united card as I am now curious?

Another question is, will you take a $500 limit on the united card?

@Anonymous,

It's 50k mileage with 3k $ comsuption in 3 months, which I have not seen in public and I heard from others that this offer is disappearing.

If I can have a 500$, I still will take it.

I am planing to have an international trip so I need the mileages.

@Anonymous,

How many times did you try to recon for the united card?  If you tell them what I told you for the freedom and it doesn't work, this may sound desperate but you can try this tactic,

Analyst:  You have called over and over again and we have told you to get lost (LOL, Iknow they won't say it like thatSmiley Tongue)

gucas: Thank you, I understand and then proceed to say what I told to help you secure the freedom.  If it is still a "No" and the analyst asks, is there anything I can do for you today?  Proceed and say yes.  Say can I ask you a question if you don't mind, if he says go ahead, ask him/her "what can I do to prove that I will treat this card right? (This is an open ended question). I am not after a high  limit and will take $500 on this card to prove myself.  I know you must be wondering why it means so muchto me to have this card.. (pause for a minute).  I will be honest with you, I am 27 and just started my journey.  I do understand the concerns you have about not having enough credit history.  Alot of people say their american dream is to be able to own their home one day, but to me my dream is to one day have the united card by chase. (I know, that sounds pretty outragious that this will be your american dream).   I have always wanted to this card and if I could move some money from Amex to open this I would.  If you are not willing to approve me, can I move some money from the freedom card to open this? (I know it is just $500 and see how the analyst responds).  I love chase and I am willing to prove myself with a small limit"...

@Yes-Its-Me,

I called just now and the card was still not approved.

I said like you told. But the analyst said that because the min credit for the United is 5k, he cannot see any card I have exceeds that value and also the short credit history. so he can not approve the card. I thought there's no way to make it approved....

@Anonymous,

Sorry you didn't get approved.  If $5000 is the minimum, then no amount of recon. will get you approved.  At least, the analyst was very honest with you.  But don't be down or anything, look at this in a positive way.  I know you want you want to take advantage of the offer currently but chase always runs promotions.  It probably will shock you that at the 2 months you are ready to app. again, a better offer will come out and you will be glad you didn't get approved for this.  I think your chances will be much much better when the Amex hits your report and you show a little history with chase.  So take this with a grain of salt and get everything in order to apply again in 2 months.  The good thing is you gave it your all....  Don't recon and let it be.

Also, let let this ruin your weekend.  Have a good weekend.
