But as you can see based on my age (how old are you by the way), I am keen to establish my credit and I was fortunate enough to have discover for 11 months to start that journey.I'm not sure I'd try that on the analyst. Especially is she is older than 29. I think the rest of the call would not go so well.
Think they were referring to the OP's age.
Agreed. I am not talking about the analyst. I am asking gucas(OP) his/her age. That places a factor in credit. For example, if someone is denied for credit because length of credit history isn't long, then it can be argued if the person is in their 20s how true that statement is. How do you expect someone in their 20s to have a long credit history as it goes by years. Analysts know this and take that into consideration when reviewing applications / recon. A respond to recon can be tailored based on reasons why the application was rejected in the first place.
Hi @Yes-Its_me, Thanks for your detail instructions.

You are not old. So you got your 1st credit card at 26. Is that correct? Also, based on your responses, is it fair to assume you are a foreigner?
Yes, I am a foreigner. I just came here for one year.

Welcome to the U.S. Excellent, in addition to what I posted earlier they may be wondering why you have only 11 months of credit history when you are 27 years old and may not ask directly. But let them know you just started your credit journey as you are new in the country to settle those doubts that have not been asked. Be confident, don't shy away. You can do it. You have 30 days and take the time to build confidence before you call if you need it.
Thanks a lot, I will.
I think the backdoor phone number is closed at 10PM in east time, right?

Thanks so much.I will update when there is any news.
Hi @Yes-Its-Me, I just called the reconsideration number, the guy is nice to approve my freedom application at $500, but for the united mileageplus card, he said he can not because my only have one credit card and he is wondering if I can maintain the united card. I like the united card, maybe I can have a try as you said in the Fridays or at the end of the month?
Anyway, Thank you a lot. your strategy works.
I will keep updating on the united card.

@Anonymous,
Congrats. I am very happy for you. Remember, with chase all you need is to get in and you are IN. That $500 is nothing. Treat it right, don't abuse it. Show them what you are made of and they will reward you. Congrats again.
Also, note that chase will be soft pulling you like Amex although it is $500. Keep your report very clean.
