Chase IHG Pending - Update

I went on a mini app spree last week and all were approved except the Chase IHG card which gave me the 30 day message. I was being a little impatient and decided to call their verification department because the last 2 apps needed verification due to me having all the supplementary burueas frozen.

The lady pulled up my app and indicates its being currently being processed by the lending department and that she'll transfer me now... You guys should have heard me say noooooo! I told her I'll let them do their jobs and will wait to hear back.

Update: This one is not going to happen - too many accounts have been opened recently.

I've added about 13 new accounts over the last year.

Lol.  Best of luck, you should be goodSmiley Happy.

On a side note are you sure having the supplementary reports on ice causes this with Chase?  I always personally have the other bottom feeders on ice, but would be interesting to know this for sure as never received and instant approval from Chase..  It seems like the majoirty of applications to Chase these days never get instant approvals, obviously with some getting instants

Oh -Cal-, -Cal-, -Cal-.   I would've left it alone Smiley Tongue  Keep inmind notes are made on each call regardless if it's not routed to UW.  I'm sure things will pan out just fine.  Trust me, a great majority of my Chase apps go to pending - I just let them simmer.  Last year, the UW/verification folks called me when I went for IHG and once all questions were answered satisfactorily (including verification), it was approved.  I'm on the school of thought, if they need more info, let them contact me and request whatever they need Smiley Wink

I'm very sure of it. All my past Chase applications have been instant approvals. As soon as I placed the other agencies on ice Chase stopped auto-approving for me. I've also had this problem with Citi, NASA, NFCU, and BBVA. They've all mentioned they couldn't access my file with one of their reporting agencies, and BBVA has explicitly stated they couldn't access LN which of course I have on ice.

ROFLOL

Goog luck Cal

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

I'm sure it'll be ok.  I have nothing on ice, but after several Chase CCs and multiple addresses on file + whatever triggers a flag, it always goes to pending.  I think only a few have been instant approvals for me - CSP, Southwest Premier and United MP (IIRC).  The longest one to process was AARP (20+ days I think?).

Re: Chase IHG Pending

Chase 30 day seems like foreeeeeeeeeever. I just called in and it still says 30 days from original app date. I suppose this is typically a good thing (right?). I apped on 2/18 so I have another two weeks to go at the max. I just booked a stay at the Palazzo too, would be nice to pay for it on this.

IMO, it's best that the message remains as 30 days vs changing to 7-10 days!  Just hang in there.  For all we know, there could be a backlog.  Irish applied for Hyatt on 2/11 and just found out he was approved not long ago.  Just keep checking the status line periodically.

I just noticed that it switched to 7-10 days. Sounds like a denial right? I've added 13 cards within the past year so I wouldn't doubt it.
