@-Cal- wrote:Chase 30 day seems like foreeeeeeeeeever. I just called in and it still says 30 days from original app date. I suppose this is typically a good thing (right?). I apped on 2/18 so I have another two weeks to go at the max. I just booked a stay at the Palazzo too, would be nice to pay for it on this.
IMO, it's best that the message remains as 30 days vs changing to 7-10 days! Just hang in there. For all we know, there could be a backlog. Irish applied for Hyatt on 2/11 and just found out he was approved not long ago. Just keep checking the status line periodically.
I just noticed that it switched to 7-10 days. Sounds like a denial right? I've added 13 cards within the past year so I wouldn't doubt it.
I'm afraid so. Typically, whenever the 30-day message switches to 7-10 days then it could be a denial outcome (not always but in most instances) or possibly further verification. You have a couple options, wait until the letter arrives to confirm or contact UW to see if you can plead your case for a reconsideration.
Chase like to pull 2 bureaus these days, in my case it's EQ/EX. Do you have your EQ on ice?
Nothing is on ice, they only pull EX for me.
Your profile looks fine for an approval...what gives? Good luck with recon.

Most likely too many new accounts that will spook them.
I finally received the letter and they cited too many accounts have been opened recently. I was going to poke the bear by reconning, but I'll reapply later to keep my risk low. If they SP me on the recon call they will see additional new accounts since they originally HP'd me and an additional inquiry from the SPG card I just received

Well, you do have that option, but I can understand your approach and hesitation if they SP you and still get shot down. I applied on 2/18 and it just got approved today. So, this will be my longest wait for getting any Chase approvals without caling (the last Chase CC in a very long time). It literally took 30 days! EQ pull only though. EQ is sore by now!
ETA: my application was for Marriott

They approved it for $15K, which is very reasonable and more than I expected (given all the other Chase CCs). At one point I figured they probably denied it (I only checked the status line 4x in the entire 30-day period). Heck, I would've taken the approval for even $5K (I'll post a snapshot once it shows online).
