Re: Chase Ritz Approval Odds?

I'm leaning towards letting sleeping dogs lie on this one. It's 30 days minimum before you can reapply online correct?

Re: Chase Ritz Approval Odds?

Hey CashCorp!

I just wanted to let you know I am in the same exact boat as you with the same exact card.

I applied on 9/27 and recieved the generic 7-10 day message you recieved. As of today I have not had a hard pull, none of my CRA are locked. I still have never recieved an email.

The status message from Chase continues to alternate between 2 weeks and 30 days.

Glad I found your thread I feel like I am going crazy, the only thing I can imagine is that they are so backed up with all the JPR and CSR application flood that they have recived they are not processing other cards as quickly.

I am just suprised though that a credit pull was not done on application this is very strange.

Weird as they haven't done any HP's on you at all and all your CR were unfroozen..  That is strange.. Right when you hit submit with Chase/JPM tapplications hey immediately pull your CR.  Maybe something is wrong with the Ritz Application link possibly that night or something else going on with it?  This is strange indeed.   I understand UW can be swamped, but they still do a HP immediately (with exception of you two for some reason) and if they can do immediate approval they do otherwise it goes through the UW process.  Even if verification is a part of it a HP still has already occurred.  Strange indeed.

Sullivan1986 got a couple of questions:

1.) Have you gotten anything in snail-mail from Chase?

2.) Have you tried speaking with a rep after listening to the app status? Just to ask "is there any other information you need" question?

3.) What other Chase Cards do you have and when was the most recent opened?

Re: Chase Ritz Approval Odds?

So just called at 11:00pm, and auto message changed to "You application is being reviewed, you will be notified in writing of our decision within 7-10 business days" ---- I'm assuming this means a decline?

***EDIT***

Just backdoored all three reports and still no hp's as of 11:00pm Tuesday Night. So if status of app is negative, would have to be because EQ was locked and they haven't tried to repull? but still wouldn't explain ONLY pully EQ. I know they usually pull EX & EQ where I live.

Mine was only EQ HP... They won't re-pull unless you choose to call them and say it is open now to be pulled.  I still would caution to do that with speaking to a UW/analys(unless you haven't opened alot of accounts recently), but ultiemately that is your choice.  My guess is you will be getting a letter as mentioned earlier saying they couldn't access your EQ report.

Just to chime in here, I was one of the last few to apply for the Ritz Signature back in August.  I had the automated phone line telling me 30 days for pretty much 2 weeks then it changed to 7-10 days.  I called verification and they wanted to transfer me to "The Ritz Carlton Rewards Department" or something similar.  I figured I had nothing to lose at that point so stayed on the call and nex thing I know, they sent me a text on my phone with a confirmation number and I was approved for 13K.

Don't give up yet.  I'd say since you've had on and off 30 day/2 week messages (both of which are supposedly pretty good especially 2 week message) I would give it a try and call verification at (800)278-8830.  I didn't seem to get the experian pull until a few days prior to receiving the 7-10 day message (if memory serves me right).  When it comes to the 7-10 day message, it seems that either it's a decline, or something more is needed.  At that point I see no use in continuing to wait.

More on my experience here for reference: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Ritz-Approval-odds-UPDATE-30-day-to-7-10-message/td-p/4707919

Nothing worse than Chase purgatory - hang in there

Also - in my experience with Chase Apps, I never got an email confirmation (until I looked in spam in the case of the Ritz), another time it came nearly a week or so later than it should have.
