Weird as they haven't done any HP's on you at all and all your CR were unfroozen.. That is strange.. Right when you hit submit with Chase/JPM tapplications hey immediately pull your CR. Maybe something is wrong with the Ritz Application link possibly that night or something else going on with it? This is strange indeed. I understand UW can be swamped, but they still do a HP immediately (with exception of you two for some reason) and if they can do immediate approval they do otherwise it goes through the UW process. Even if verification is a part of it a HP still has already occurred. Strange indeed.
Hey CC.
Yeah I agree when I opened my CSP and Freedom they pulled EQ and TU twice for me within a matter of minutes (which were combined later). I was looking for any RItz approvals on the board between mine and Cash's time but did not see any so I am not understanding what is actualy going on. I agree with you on leaving Chase alone to do thier thing. Poking them especialy the underwriters seems to have a negative effect on outcomes probably because you seem desperate. If I dont hear aything by the 30 day mark I will proably follow up with Verification but that is it. I would probably just re app after 35 days seeing that there has been no HP as of yet.
Seems certain at this point that I'll get a letter asking me to call in. I'm definitely about 12 new accounts...if I'm not "Declined" based on scoring since they haven't pulled any reports, does that still mean I need to wait the 30+ days to reapply online? Or could I resubmit online with EQ Unlocked?
***UPDATE****
I called the verification number that @McLarenll suggested and was transferred to the Ritz Carlton Department (yes this is what they are called)...They wanted to verify that it was me who actually applied for the card. After verifying my personal info and verifying my number on the application, the rep placed me on hold why he submitted the application...
While I was on hold I got a text that my TransUnion Report had been accessed, he came back after what seemed like forever...
INSTANT APPROVAL - $20,000 SL @ 16.24%
So far it seems like it was a single TU Pull!
Good news.. That is wild they didn't pull your credit prior to you calling in for verificaiton.. I thought I knew Chase pretty well.. Very nice approval as well. Congrats
Thanks CC! Really appreciate all your help and feedback, strangest app experience I've had. Now I can really plant myself in the garden for a good 6-12 months. Have my portfolio complete with some top tier cards and relationships that will grow.
@elim wrote:My stats are very similar to yours. Including a 13.6k 2010 fed tax lien on all 3. RC was my 4th Chase card at the time and almost doubled my exposure with them
My guess is you will get the card and have a limit higher than 10k. GL :]
@elim - just wanted to reply back and say you ended up being right.

@Anonymous - no need to apologize, I'm glad the thread has helped more than just me. That's the whole point of this forum is for us all to help each other by sharing data and experiences. Never would have called today if it hadn't been for @McLarenll chiming in about his verification call. That tipped the scales.

Hey Cash, very glad I was able to help. Very nice SL!!! Personally the Ritz is my highest SL that I have, and I've been using it a lot. I have the 3 Free Nights to show for it now!

@Your post was exactly what I was looking for, that extra bit of insight beyond score etc...I might have just let it sit and tried another month from now. You helped me get my largest SL $20,000 & @Anonymous he got his largest SL $36,000
