Chase Ritz app 7 to 14 day message

Apped for the Ritz card on 3/20 and there is a fraud alert on the credit report. Tried to call a couple times but told to wait on the letter. If it was a denial I believe they would have just said so. I believe that they just wanna verify identity, hopefully. Any thoughts or advice?

You're probably right, I wouldn't sweat it, although even when they verify you past the fraud thing it still isn't a guarantee that you will be approved for the card

The letter will probably have some sort of security code and youll have to call in.

I received my Ritz card a little over three weeks ago. My EQ, EX and TU credit reports are locked (not frozen) and I have a fraud alert. I got the 30 day message when I applied, I called, pushed a bit to speak with a human, went through verification, spoke with someone who seemed to take a few minutes to review my file (credit analyst???) and was approved. Not sure if this is universally good advice, but I would push to speak with a human. The card has many nice features and can basically pay for itself with the $100 Visa Discountair reduction on two domestic tickets (I’ve used it to book three flights already). Good luck and let us know what happens.
