Re: Chase Sapphire Preferred Decision Pending help?!

Did you guys wait for the automated line to give an "accepted/rejected" decision, or did you call in even when it said 7-10 days on the phone line? I'm curious because I just apped a few hours ago and figuring that they were probably going to deny me, I thought I'd call to the lending dept and see if I could "clarify any questions they may have had regarding my application." The CSR who answered my call said "there's nothing we can do until a decision is made." Is this typical?

FYR I called (800) 432-3117 which I believe is the automated line, then I pressed 0 to talk to a CSR. They verified that my application was submitted but that there was no decision yet.

I also tried calling the lending number directly, but it looks like I may have had an out-of-date number or they weren't accepting direct calls at that time. I tried calling (888) 270-2127 for the lending department.

Another tidbit is that the application isn't yet showing up in my "pending applications" once I log into my chase account (already have a freedom with them).

Any thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Chase Sapphire Preferred Decision Pending help?!

Sorry that I can't help on the CSR but when I app'd for the Freedom ( had the choice for the the CSP as well ) , I had to call in for verification and while on the phone the CSR told me to hang on . She said she said my app was still under review but she'd see if she could give me a decision that day, and did ! I was approved.

I suppose YMMV!

Just hang in there!
