Hi,
maybe I have some new information. If not, disregard the message.
I applied last week for the Chase Sappire Reserve bc I couldn't keep my eyes of the 100.000 bonus point. I need to have them -
I also got the Chase Amazon card 3 weeks ago but the pulled my credit again. I had 7 hard pulls on Equifax when I applied. I couldn't wait because a $750K mortage is about to hit my credit reports and I don't know what impact that has to my credit score
Before the CSR I had 4 other Chase cards. Freedom ($5.4K), CSP ($19K), Chase Amazon ($7.5K) and Ink Cash ($10K)
So my total limit with Chase was $42K before i applied.
After I finished the application, I received the 30 days notice message which was the first time I ever got that.
I called in every day for a week and today they finally transferred me to the verification departement. They verified my identity and wlecomed me to the Chase Sapphire Reserve family.
$34.000 limit. Now I have 5 Chase card with a total of more than $75000 limit.
I was prepared to offer to close the CSP and transfer it's limit but they didn't ask for it.
Now my question, Does it make sense to close the CSP ? I mean why would I keep it open other than my credit score?
Does Chase pull again if I request to tranfer the CSP limit to the CSR?
Also, my total credit limit with all banks is now 10% higher than my yearly gross income. Is that high or is there more room?
Best,
M.
PC CSP to Freedom unlimited for 1.50x ur points on non-category spend.
Maybe close Venture or another card if you are concerned about CL.
They were not concerned. I just don't know why I should keep the CSP open since the CSR is the "same but better".

You shouldn't keep it you should change it to the Freedom Unlimited card. Just call them and tell them you want to change your CSP to that card. You stated that your CL was over 10% of your gross income and asked if that was too high or if there is room, I just suggested if it was a concern close another card.

Congrats on the Huge SL. That 26k Double Cash is impressive also
The 26K on the Double Cash came from a downgrade from a Prestige. I couldn't justify the $450 annual fee after they took Admirals club away.
I moved the credit line from the CSP to the CSR and converted the CSP to a Freedom Unlimited.
I have 5 Chase cards now with a total limit of $75.900.
Amex needed to see tax returns for that kind of limit. Chase did not.
