Re: Chase Slate Card

I have applied Chase Freedom on 16th September and got approved. I have approved for Amex BCE same day. Right now, I have 3 hard inquires including the last two in Experian. One of my inquiry will be removed by October and my current Experian FICO CS is 732. How is my chance to get Chase Slate after expiring of one inquiry (still will have two very recent inquiries) and considering maintaining current CS?

Rise, I think you're safe. I think I might qual myself but I think my scores are too low to get a good CL plus inquiries from mortgage refi.

Re: Chase Slate Card

Chase seems to have started a new one-app per 30 day rule recently (meaning one of THEIR cards). Search on here and you should see some info.

Was anyone affected by Chase's 5/24 rule? (# of Inquiries)

Yes. They won't even consider a recon at all due to the too many new accounts. Tried recon line twice and same response. I have a FICO score of 787 and one card (IHG) with Chase with a $36,000 limit. I asked if I could move some of that limit to the new card application and was told no both times that I cannot have a new card line created at this time. Debated on calling the Executive Office line and then just said f it, not worth the trouble.

I want to app for both the Chase Slate and Freedom cards but am holding off because I do not think my scores are quite there yet. This morning I read a short article about the Slate being one of the better transfer cards (along with a Barclay's and a Citi) and it is the only one that will accept Fair credit. It said one only needed a minimum score of 650 to acquire it.

Although I do have one score at 668, it's EQ (FICO8). The other two are at 648. In looking at my CMS, Chase has only HP'd on Experian. I have apped a couple of times (once in Jan. and once in July) with them trying to get the Amazon card which I finally did get it in July. Could this be a possibility that they really only really pull EX?

I'm in So Cal....This is what they pulled on me.

Chase....EX

Citi.........EX

Barclay...TU

B of A.....EX

AE........EX

Discover....EQ

US Bank....EX

Cap1.....All 3

Hope that helps
