3 years of clean history looks better than 6 years with bad marks I would not be worried about that. Depending on the scoring and the advice 3 years it's not long enough to establish credit… not true! 3 years may not give you the 800 score. it depends and how you read into it.
Good to hear, but I'm worried becauase I think that history starts from the day I opened it, which is 1999. That is 17 years being factored in to my AAoA that will disappear.
I heard back from the PenFed recon already! I just emailed them this morning. They reversed my denial for the 2nd card and gave me a $5K line with 0% BT 12 months 3% fee and 13.49% on purchases and cash advances. I am going to move $1450 of AMEX to that new card and leave that card alone (chargewise). Hopefully I can get a CLI on AMEX next month, as it will be 6 months since my last approval. I may wait until I can pay things down some more before requesting it, though. Today, my sister (AU) agreed to jump on the next cc BT mailer offer she receives (if any), and transferring what she can of her share of the balances off of AMEX and Chase.
