Well I was approved
I didnt see the message until now but I did call and speak to someone. Took all of one minute for her to tell me I was approved.

Congrats!
if i want to apply for another chase card - will it be another HP or will they use the same pull from the Slate application?

Call the automated status line only. Let me know what the message says when you input you SSN. If it says 2 weeks or 30 days then it isn't a denial and most likely an approval; if it say 7-10 days then most likely a denial although not always the case. You can call the application status line as that is safe. If you call UW you will 99% chance of being declined, just let it play itself through the system! Let me know what the automated status line says
You can call Chase: 800-436-7927 (App status - automated) and then hit # then 3 then 1 and will ask for SSN and will give you update and see my above to reference where your application currently resides and possible outcomes.
I applied for Slate online on Monday at 8:00am. Got the 7-10 message.. Called the recon # about an hour or so later when I got to work. Told was declined. I asked for recon. Woman seemed a little testy and first. Went over report and told her that balances she was showing were wrong. Had paid off a bunch. Said my HELOC was showing as a $60k credit card, which I explained couldn't be right. Put me on hold. Then asked what the HELOC was for. Explained it was for renovations for the house. Asked about a Chase card I had years ago that was charged off. Actually forgot about that. But I believe I entered in payment settlement with them. On hold again. Came back and approved $5k limit. So I guess YMMV regarding recon success
Congrats!!
