I need a BT card, so I app'ed for the Chase Slate and got the 30day message. I've been reading threads on Chase for most of the day, and I know some said you could app for a second card with the same pull, so I app'ed for the IHG and was instantly approved for $22,000. Within 30mins, this card, and number oddly enough, showed up on my Chase Online account. Given this information, I'm going to assume that the delay in approval isn't because they need to verify my identity but because of the 5/24 rule. So, I'm gearing up for a recon and wondered if anyone has reconned at a local branch? I would like to do a BT for a CC with a payment due on the 12th, so time is of the essence.
Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated. TIA
If you are denied for 5/24 there is no recon on it. I would just wait it out and see what they say.
Thanks for the advice, but after reading that waiting could lead to a denial (true or not) I decided to call. Apparently, they say that I've had a Slate card before even though I haven't. I had to open a fraud investigation so will be a minute before this gets resolved, estimate is 90days. I am glad I called otherwise I woudl've been sitting here waiting for nothing. I don't know what to do once this thing is resolved. Given that time was of the essence, I had to go with the Barclay Ring for my unexpected emergency expenses. So I don't know what I'll do with a Slate card should the investigation go as I expect.
