Chase Success after "Further Review"

I have never receieved a chase preapproval offer. Have checked randomly for years but have never cold applied. Decided to just apply anyway after reading lots of threads about it. Was very nervous. Got the "app needs further review" banner. Called the following day and was transferred to Fraud verification. Next morning got an email that it was approved.. Just want to add another data point for success after app review messgae. 

This card was specifically for an already reserved upcoming Marriott stay for $4k that I want to get points on. Apped for the Chase Bonvoy Boundless for the lower AF since I have Bonvoy Gold status with my Amex Platinum. Will update with SL once I receive the card

They did that with my CSR. A 2 minute phone call with their fraud team got whatever alert cleared and then I was approved.

Nice! I'm guessing whatever restriction has been there for a while and maybe why I never get preapproval offers from them mailed/online.
