I'd like to apply for the Chase Sapphire card. These are my most recent applications - can someone advise me on how long I should wait before applying?
Mortgage - 8/2020
Visa - 10/2020
Personal loan 3/2021
Personal loan 3/2021
Personal loan 5/2021
Visa - 6/2021
No new accounts prior to these listed above.
thank for your input. 😊
If you're referring to the 5/24 restriction, and based on what you've shared above, it appears you would be ok to apply since you've indicated you were approved for 2 revolving accounts in the past 24 months. But, I would honestly wait things out.
Btw, how did the AmEx reconsideration go? Did you pursue it or let it go?

Now, Chase can still deny the application for other reasons, especially if you've added a plethora of installment accounts and whatnot in the past 12 months or so. My suggestion would be to try things in about 6-12 months. Your decision, of course.

Jefe, would you say I have a plethora of cards?
Also curious, why would you recommend waiting?

Jefe, would you say I have a plethora of cards? Yes, just like me, but at least yours have had considerable age, IIRC.

LOL @ jefe!![]()
My recommendation for waiting is due to the number of recently added tradelines, such as the 3 installment loan accounts + the revolver (recent as in < 6 months). Potentially, algorithms are going to scrutinize the number of PLs in the past six months. Not knowing any additional details since the OP didn't share any other pertinent info such as the PL amounts, present utilization, FICO scores, income, DTI, AAoA, etc., it's anyone's guess whether Chase would feel like rolling the welcome mat for CSP. That said, the OP can roll the dice and see for themselves.
