Chase declined -- recon?

Finally got my notice that I was declined for a Chase Freedom, as expected, and they listed my just over two-year-old BK as the reason w/ Experian at 702.
Wondering if I should bother trying recon? I'm not looking for a big CL, just hoped to get my foot in the door.

You are already on your bottom so make the call. The worst they can say is "NO! YOU deadbeat, get out of here, we are never giving you a card!" But they might just approve you and wouldn't that just be the 🐱 Meow! Make the call and let us know what they say.

Big fat no lol. And with that, I'll retreat to the garden and lick my wounds from all this post-BK rejection, which has coincided with a failed (by 1 percent 😱😱😱😱) test that likely cost me another job opportunity (third in as many months) that would have more than doubled my income. 

Whenever I resurface I hope it's under better circumstances.

Keep your head up, SFernandez! You have a lot of people on here pulling for you, and sometimes things just take some time. The garden is a good place to be...in the garden things can only get better!

chase is kinda fickle give it another year and get some other cards.

If you don't like calling (like me) I have had major success with sending letters for recon. To me I can explain things much better in writing.. there is no surprise questions, and I have 11 of 13 successful recons in the past 2 years this way. Some call you anyway, some send a card and some send a denial letter.

I always address to the bank and then ATTN: Underwriting Superviror/Applications Dept.

Btw... I have 2 more currently sent for recon as of yesterday I will update when I find out: both were denied for too many INQ's.
