Chase, who uses EX here in Texas, gave me a card with a high credit line even though at the time I had 6 inquiries spread over 18 months and two new cards within the previous six months - Experian FICO of 760+.  That situation would certainly be a tough call.

AMEX Green Card - NPSL [Member Since 1995] | AMEX Everyday Card ($25,000) 6/14 Backdated to 1995 | Discover IT ($17,500) | JCPenney Credit Card ($7,000) | Home Depot ($10,000) | Citi ThankYou Preferred Visa Signature ($16,000) | Chase Freedom Visa Signature - ($17,000) | Sam's Club MasterCard - ($20,000) - 5% off gas at any fuel pump | Wells Fargo Personal Line of Credit - ($15,000) | Firestone - ($2,600)

FICO's - 767 EX, 778 EQ, 790 TU [02/2015]

Is it your lowest limit card? Do you have a certain CL you're aiming for? Chances are if it's generally close to the limit of your other cards I doubt you'll get an increase. Also you didn't say how long you've had this card for

What is your current limit and how long have you had the card? Utilization? Whats your AAOA? Do you have any negatives on your reports? From what I have read, Chase can be funny with CLI's.

Re: Chase freedom cli

Even if they won't give you a CLI (which they aren't known for being fantastic about doing), you can always move CL's around and consolidate accounts. For example, if you have no use for the Slate anymore, you could move over that 2k and close the account. If you have used the Slate semi recently they will only let you move 1500, but it's better than nothing. It's better to have it on a useful card IMO.

Re: Chase freedom cli

Actually what I was thinking is using the slate as leverage to open a CSP if they don't want to approve me for the 5k min they can always move those 2k from the slate and call it a day
