I burned Chase about 12-13 years ago and never paid them. I applied for the Disney card 1-2 years ago and got denied. Now I have good credit again, around 720 scores. Never had BK.
I was preapproved for the Chase Amazon card, so I submitted an app. They asked me to submit proof of address and identity. I submitted promptly and checked soon after and it said they had my uploads.
After about a month, I checked and their site still showed they had my uploaded proof. After a couple more weeks not hearing from them, I called and their system said there was no application in my name.
Chase never called or wrote me other than the one time to ask for the proof. Do they completely ghost applicants sometimes? I was expecting at least a denial letter. They certainly have my correct mailing address, phone number, and email. I am curious if they ghost if someone is on the blacklist.
I banked with them for about 9 years, until about 4 months ago, but I didn't use the account very much.
I once applied not to long ago. They arm to have a glitch on their system. Did you see a hard pull on your credit. Around the holidays around Thanksgiving to pay Christmas there were hiccups.
Maybe go by a branch and they can see when it sits or isnt sitting.

Yes, unfortunately they pulled immediately when I submitted and then pulled another bureau after I uploaded proof, so 2 HPs. Probably for nothing.

Have you moved since the Disney denial? Nonetheless, I would call to inquire on the Prime app.

did you have a fraud alert on your credit report at all?
I cant believe the garbage these banks get away with.

Nope and the info matches my reports.

No, and they knew my address (and other details) since it didn't change while I had the checking account. None of it changed. I feel like they were just saying preapproved to more people than they were going to approve.
@Swatch
I would try to dispute the inquiries. Those scammers at chase.

I wanted to, but then I searched. Found a thread saying that doesn't work anymore, for any reason... unless you show police report or similar proof of identity theft.
It seems like only 1 HP is showing up now, even though I got notified of the other HP. So that helps.
I was also wondering about opening a CFPB case, but Chase would probably just say that they did send me a letter? Or that they never got my uploads. It doesn't seem likely to improve my odds of a Chase card soon or in the future, and seems like it could hurt me for getting one in the future. Just guessing though.
