Hey guys, I'm interested in getting a Chase Sapphire Reserve. On doctorofcredit, I read that the in-branch offer might have bigger bonus (60k points instead of 50k). Can anyone tell me how does the in-branch bonus work and who is eligible to receive that? I currently do not have any Chase accounts (checking, savings, credit card), but my wife does have the Amazon Prime Card by Chase. Is there a definite way of getting the additional bonus? Also, my credit is currently frozen. Which bureaus does Chase pull so I can unfreeze before the application? Thanks!
If you're in IL, they pull TU & EX

Chase pulls TransUnion and Experian in Illinois.
As for in-branch preapproval it's only possible to get a banker to check for you if you have concurrent relationship with Chase (i.e. a current Chase customer). Since you don't have any Chase accounts they won't be able to check in-branch preapproval since it's more or less dependent on their internal system for customers and they don't have your information.
Best you can do is prequalified offers provided that you are opted in for prescreened offers. However, the Sapphire Reserve may not appear in the online prequalified offers even if the CSP would appear.

There is a better chance of approval at a branch, but have not read about anyone getting approved for the CSR without being a Chase customer. I'm in CA, and as above said, it is Experian. What are your data points?
Thanks for the info. How does applying in a bank differ than applying online? Anyways, I let my wife apply online last night. I've created a separate post for it - http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Card-Applications/Chase-Sapphire-Reserve-30-day-message/td-p/5204677.

In bank, the analyst will try harder to push it through for approval. Online, it's all compures and algorithms.
