Ugh, I am having a hard time with chase for getting anything approved last couple of years but the thing is... I applied for Freedom Unlimited and United Club Card. the Freedom Unlimited was rejected but I guess CA is recommending United Club Card to be approved and I assumed its gonna be 5K CL minimum if it goes thru.. but the thing is I dont really feel like ponying up $450 AF ( I thought it was going to be $100 statement credit and $450 waived for the 1st year ) otherwise I would have not applied for it.. so my question is.. does this make any sense to anyone? freedom card rejected and yet its looking good for United Card ? I want to get back in the door with Chase but $450 AF ?? YIKES! lol. I will have to think about it ![]()

Okay where's the weird part I'm not seeing it? Lol
Banks are in it for the money
Hmmm.....
Freedom no AF
$0% period
United Club Card (Co-branded) $450 in the pocket 1st statement
No $0%
Another question I have is what's your 5/24 status?
This may also be the reason for the Freedom denial since co-branded cards are excluded from this rule another reason you could be approved for one and denied a Chase branded card
FWIW I've also never seen any high AF card with a waived fee
Makes complete sense to me Lol![]()

I understand, but the thing is I recalled awhile ago someone on here got United Club Card approved with 1st year $450 AF being waived, I cant recalled who it was tho.. and the thing is Freedom has $500 min approval and I cant get that yet CA recommend approval for United Club Card. but yeah I guess I am past 5/24 for their branded cards.

BTW the minimum credit line for a United Club is $15,000![]()

It's totally plausible to get declined for freedom but approved for club card, and yes 15k is the starting limits on it.
Wow, 15K? I dont know if thats gonna happen. we will see.. cant approve me for $500 Freedom account and yet 15K for Club card ? this is defintely the most weirdest exp I ever had before
I will update as the progress goes .. I dont see how I can get 15K CL considering I only have 1 account at 10K or greater which is Cabelas Visa plus I just dont see how Chase can give out 15K with BK reporting on CR.
I cant touch a Chase core card due to 5/24. I am sure they would not give me a Freedom with even a $500.00 limit.
However they did give me a Disney @ 15K and a Marriott @ 18K.
So it makes perfect sense to get approved for a co-branded with high limit and denied for a Freedom.

Wow, interesting.. do you know if you could downgrade to United Explorer $95 AF after 1st year? will Chase allow that?
