Chase recon

Called recon for CSP and got denied for having too many credit. I don't get it. I only have one CF with them. Business card doesn't show up on our credit report right? Even if it's issued by Chase?

I used the first number to call recon, but I noticed that there are two numbers, which one to use for the next call?

Chase: 1-888-270-2127 (Analyst)

Chase: 800-945-2000 (App status with option to speak to rep.)

Re: Chase recon

What's your 5/24 number?

Chase can see all your Chase cards internally but 5/24 matters most.

Re: Chase recon

2/24 and CF is not one of the 2, plus one business

Re: Chase recon

What’s your total credit limit to income ratio ?

Could be chase feels like you have sufficient credit available to your income.

Re: Chase recon

Chase gave me about 8000 CL for CF, this is a card I have for almost 8 years

On the app, the income I entered was the amount I currently have at their bank, let's just say at the fed poverty income line

is this why I got rejected? insufficient income?

Re: Chase recon

Is the chase freedom you mentioned the only credit card you have ?

If so, you might be able to reallocate some of the freedoms credit line to the new card.

If you have other credit cards. Chase will consider your income, available credit on all accounts ( not just chase). if you have too much credit extended vs your total income.

If that’s the case, you can still ask for credit reallocation. But keep in mind that the min credit line for the CSP is 5K.

You aren’t giving a lot of information so it’s hard to speculate. Call chase back and ask for more specific reasons and see if there’s anything you can do.

Re: Chase recon

In the original post. You mention you have a CF. That’s normally the Abbreviation for the chase Freedom.

Good luck. Employ the HUng up call again strategy a couple times and try to get someone who will assist you.

If it’s a Chase business card, the CSR would know about it regardless of it showing in your credit report. It will count towards your overall exposure with them as well.  Remember, Chase doesn’t just use FICO scores and what shows on your credit reports.  They have an internal scoring system and your business card would be included in that.
