Hey guys, just some info on what to expect...... I applied for the Citi DC card, and got the message to call. I called and they needed to verify some info.
I gave them the info, and the CSR said, they couldnt verify my address but I shouldnt have any approval problems .....???? Its the same on all of my CR and they pulled 2 and I have lived here longer than 6 years...
So, i get an email address to send a CC or Bank statment to them. I send the info, call back 2 days later to find my app had been declined because, I blacked out my full account number... I left the last 4 digits, which the lady said to resend the statement without any info blacked out... stating that their third party needed to verfiy the address on the statement is attached to a legit account....smh So I resent it...... Anyone else experience anything like this????
UPDATE......UPDATE.....
So, I call yesterday to check the status..... and it says decline again! I speak to a different CSR, and I am thinking maybe its the same decline and they didnt get the email yet. So I began to explain to the new CSR whats happening and what the previous CSR told me, and that I sent in a different CC bill without anything blacked out. He says OK, let me check something.....puts me on hold for a few and came back saying.....Sir I apologize but, the last CSR told you incorrectly whats happening. Its not that they cant verify my address, its that they need to verify that it's a residence and NOT a business....and I am like **bleep** really? And the ONLY way to do that is send in a utility bill, (which I don't have) with my name on it OR a copy of my State issued ID or DL and email that in........ My DL expire next month, I have had it for 7 years... and it looks really faded...So I am going to just go and get a new one, so everything will be legible ..... They did a pull on Exp and EQ so, its worth the trouble to get the most out of double HP's.
All of my scores below where current for the HP, No baddies, Util -14%, 5-6 Inq from app spree 3 weeks ago, AAoA is like 1yr 9m due to one of the new accounts reporting
Anyone think that I should be using the back door number to handle this and maybe get a higher initial limit......or just deal with the regular CSR's to get the initial approval first...then do cli request the day I activate it?

I think that first you're going to need to need to send them your DL first and see if you get the approval and then work on the CL
OK, so another update......
So NOW they tell me they can't open the document I sent..., actually they couldn't open the last two. So, you have to send the photo id or whatever as a PDF file and they need to see BOTH sides of the I.D...... All of this would have been nice to know about a week ago, its not in the letter nor did the first two CSR's tell me ..... so just a heads up
UPDATE......So I am waiting for my hard copy license to come in the mail to send to them for verification. Checked my mailbox and nothing....checked my email, and had a message from Citi......Approved 2500!.... I am like...uh what? They approved it, got my welcome email account info, etc.... without sending them the Photo ID that they HAD to have.... don't know what happened but I will take it!
