Apped for this 1 year ago and was rejected. Several calls and numbers later discovered it was due to BK 26 years ago. Since then several flyers in the mail and an email encouraging another try. Did the check for offers and this card showed as pre-selected. Applied online and had to call in. Yikes! Called and after info verifications and hold times...approved for $8500! So far no activity at the 3 bureaus.
There ya have it then
And a nice start line too if i might say so. I was just approved for the same card with $6K SL.
Don't worry about the HP's, Citi will see to it they show up soon enough. Mine cost 2 HP's one day apart after approval.

Thanks CreditMagic7! Now it's time to start earning those points/miles.
I just crossed the threshold of meeting the new card bonus yesterday and it's smooth sailing the rest of the way now.
Only 30K but hey, it's a start right?
I got a mail offer and took the bait was sure it would have been a denial, but got approved. Only took the bait because it was 50k Bonus for 3k spend.

It's a MasterCard and not Visa
Actually there have been several references here in the Community to the "elephant" memory of a few creditors. Citibank and Chase to name two. Most but not all creditors don't bother to retain records beyond the infamous 7 years and even though the debt(s) are legally forgiven they're not necessariy always forgotten.
ScoreOrBeScored you are absolutely correct! It is indeed a MasterCard and not a Visa. When more than one window is open and a Visa ad is visible the mind will toss you a curveball. Looking back the emails and flyers from Citi show the card without a logo.
