@Anonymous wrote:Did you have any luck yet? I am running into the same problem with them now despite my score already being updated to reflect the BK being gone. I'm going to just keep trying every month but if I don't get any movement by December, I'm closing the card. Zero benefit to having a $1900 limit card.
They have since stopped using the BK verbiage and now when I make a request (which I just happened to do last night, first time in over a month) I am getting the verbiage "We're unable to approve your request because your credit report shows too many recently opened accounts." Whatever I am starting to think about getting rid of Citi. Not a fan of having to wait a whole year to get the CB credit anyway, and not to mention it has to be @ Costco.

Thanks for the update.
How many accounts in the last 6 months?
I am amazingly down to 1 in 10 lol.

7 So they have me there. They weren't winning with the fake BK claim, so they hit me where it hurts

I can see where they would be a bit nervous about 7 lol.
My Citi card is the only one that I've failed to hit my limit goal with as far as CLIs go. I've had no problem getting there on my Discover, Amex, Cap One and Synchrony cards. I don't count Chase since they aren't into SP CLIs. For whatever reason Citi doesn't seem to align well with my profile, as CLIs have been weak relative to all of my other lenders.
Perhaps it's obvious and I missed it reading everything here...but I am assuming that Citi was NOT included in our BK from 10 years ago?
So even though the reports are clean, this glitch is stuck in their system so it may forever cause an issue? Or at least until you speak to someone that gets it and the flag is cleared?

In my case, Citi never got burned. Only US Bank and BoA got burned by me.

Citi is more income driven than Amex, Cap1, Discover so depending on income you are going to cap out on cl before the other three listed...

Quite the opposite. I'm referring to CLI growth, not capping out. In fact, I've capped out with all of those other lenders where I haven't capped out with Citi... it's just that growth with Citi has been much slower.
