Hi,
Little background. I just started to build my credit profile a little over a year ago, before that I paid cash or debit and never thought about my credit history.
About a year and half ago, I applied for a Discovery It Card was rejected for lack of credit history. I ended up getting a Discover Secured card and put down $800.00. It graduated after seven month and went up to unsecured $1200.00 CL. Now at $2400.00.
I was thinking about applying for a new card, I recieved a pre-approval for a Citi Diamond Preferred a few months ago, but thought I should wait a little longer to apply because my credit is still very new.
I recently checked their site, and it says that I am pre-approved for a Citi Double Cash. I make about $30,000 a year. Have no debt. According to the discover app, my FICO TU Score is 759 as of 11/20/17. Utilization is 11% and I have no inquiries or missed payment.
The Double Cash seems like a good card, and I am considering applying. Would like too get a higher overall credit limit. Based on my information am I likely to get this card, or should I want until I have a longer history. I don't want to make unnecessary inquires if I am very unikely to get it.
you should easily be approved with that score, especially after you were preapproved for the diamond preferred.
i got preapproved for the doublecash 1000SL with a much lower fico then yours.
You'll be approved but do you want to ever get in with Chase in the future? If so, calculate your 5/24 number and see if adding a card will put you over the top, and if so, when you'll be back under. Not sure if those are your only cards or if you have other recent ones you didn't list!
Thanks to everyone for your replies,
No, Discover is my only card. Haven't applied for anything else yet, so this will be my second card if I get it.
I do plan to apply.
Oh I'd say you're good to go. Post an update after you app!
I agree with everyone else, your scores and utilization are highly favorable when you consider the pre-approval offer. Good luck with the app!

Go for it! It's a great card, and it sounds like you have a solid profile.
Let us know if you pull the trigger and what kind of SL they give you... GOOD LUCK!
I applied for the card and was approved. Yeah!! $3500.00 Spending Limit. 0% APR for 18 Months and 14.74% after that.
After applying online, they told me the application would need further processing and I would hear from them in a week with their decision. After a week, I didn't hear back, so I called. The customer service lady was pretty unhelpful, told me to wait for my letter their was nothing she could do. Got the letter, said they couldn't verify the accuracy of my credit information. The lady I spoke with was very friendly, just asked my date of birth and to verify my address information and that was it. I was approve.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
