Re: Citi Double Cash Card !

Thanks OP for your responses. Honestly, from your DPs (data points), you look really good for a Citi DC approval. IMO, I say go ahead and apply. Pull the trigger!

Also here’s the link for the common abbreviations we use. And believe me, it was a different language for the majority of us. 😁

Re: Citi Double Cash Card !

Your approval odds may be good, but based on the gutting of the benefits and the lack of a bonus, I'd say it's a bad time to apply...in that it's going from being arguably the best 2% card to one of the worst.
Personal spend: Amex Gold, Amex Schwab Plat., BofA PR+CCR(x2), Costco
Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU
Perks: Delta Plat., United Explorer, IHG49, Hyatt, "Old SPG"
Mostly SD: Freedom Flex, Freedom, Arrival
Upgrade/Downgrade games: ED, BCE
SUB chasing: AA Platinum Select

Hi Folks

I have a BoA Travel Rewards,Cash Rewards,DiscoveriT,Chase Freedom Unlimited,AmeX Blu Cash Everyday,Capital One Platinum,Banana Republic VISA,Amazon Prime Store,Macy's Store Card. My FiCO score : 733 , TU : 753 , Equifax : 753.I have been denied for Citi Double Cash Card 2.5 years ,  I haven't applied for a credit card in 2.5 years , I have only one hard inquiry which is a year old , My credit history is for about 3.5 years. Is it a good time to apply for Citi Double Cash Card ? Thanks.

Your data points are very similar to mine when I was approved. Citi is inquiry sensitive and since you have 0 in the last 6 months you should be good. I would be very surprised if they denied you.

When you do apply, if you get the 7-10 days message, call the reconsideration line immediately. I received that message and called right away, they wanted to make sure it was actually me that applied and I was approved within 5 minutes.

One more thing to consider. Have you moved recently? I applied for a DC in May, 6 weeks after I had moved, and was denied because my address was too new and couldn't be verified to prove my identity. I apped again at the beginning of July, 14 weeks after moving and was approved.

Hi

Thanks for the reply , I do not have any type of loans as of now , nor have I ever had.

My income is $75k per annum, By AAOA I am assuming you want to verify if I have any reports of tenant screening.

There's just one hard inquiry on my report that dates back to Sep 2018 when I applied for apartment.

I am sorry if sound ignorant but I do not know what aggregate UT, individual UT are ?  By googling I didn't find any info either.

Please shed some light so I can provide required information.

AAoA is your Average Age of Accounts.

Aggregate Utilization is the percent of debt to an available limit on all cards combined.

Individual Utilization is the percent of debt to an available limit on individual cards.

Also,  Next time you apply try to do it through incognito or private browser, some companies review your cache and cookies and make determinations on you regardless of your score.

Good luck

Wow that is really good to know!
