Citi Premier CLI denial

Hey everyone,

Citi is being stingy with their SP CLIs again. I've had the Citi Premier for 9 months, starting limit was $6200. 6 months ago they gave me a $2000 sp cli bringing my limit to $8200. Today they denied my CLI.

Last month I made a similar post about my Citi Double Cash. Since citi denied my premier cli I decided to try again for a cli on my double cash and they gave me $1500

Citi has me confused 🤣

Re: Citi Premier CLI denial

SP CLI's increases on their cards are once every 6 months and you said had the card 9 months so if you had one 3 months ago at 9 months you would be ineligible.

My first CLI was when I had the card for 3 months. It has been exactly 6 months to the day since my last CLI.

You might cite (post) the reasons for denial from the AA letter.

They will usually give it online under "documents" within a few days of denial,

along with an email to notify you of the online document.

The online doc would look like this;

And the email to notify of said document;

ETA: It is highly unlikely of Citi to give you (2) CLI's in less than 12 months.

I will see what the letter says when I get it.

I got 3 CLIs the first year I had my Double Cash.

Re: Citi Premier CLI denial

Citi sent me a denial letter and this is what it said...Screenshot_20230419-065251_Citi Mobile.jpg

This is the exact same reason they gave me last month for my Double Cash. I waited a month and they gave me a CLI for my Double Cash so I plan on waiting a month to see if they give me a CLI from my Premier. Who knows 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, I had that same letter for a month before I got an auto cli from Citi on my Premier card as well but it was also at exactly the 7th statement, after 6 months. Try waiting for your next statement to cut and retry. Good luck!
