Has anyone here ever had success getting them to overturn a decision with 7 inquiries in the last six months? I made the foolish mistake of thinking it was the 18th today and tried again for the Citi Double Cash card and that was instantly denied over the phone and I'm gonna call recon in about an hour. I read somehwere on FlyerTalk that someone did have success doing that but I wanna see if others have too.
If I can't get it now, I'll definitely try again the 23rd of next month because that's when for sure I'll have less than 7 then.

Yes. Had 7 plus on EX and 1 on EQ. Pulled both and after recon was approved for $8k. Told them reason for appping for DC was mostly for BT from Chase and Disco.
Good to know. Last time I tried recon for a Citi card, it was for more than 7 inquiries and it didn't work so I'm hoping this time might lead to a different result.

Hmm...
I wouldn't have applied over the phone. I'd have also waited the extra month.

Anyway, I proceeded with recon and they'll be calling me back in the next 1-2 business days and basically told them that I have a Citi card already but I could not PC it to the Double Cash and that I was also interested in a balance transfer too. Trust me I was pretty annoyed after I saw that I was off by a day and had checked my credit report first.
That month probably would have been a better time thinking about it in hindsight just to be 100% sure but I took the HP already so I have nothing to lose.
I was told by a supervisor that Citi keeps applications on file for 90 days.

Good luck, I had two failed recon, the first by an analyst, the second by a supervisor/senior analyst and was a no go, Before my app-o-rama even began.
You might have an easier time though, who knows.
So do you have to make a separate login page if you have more than one Citi card or can you see everything on one login page? I haven't gotten any calls back yet about whether they've overturned the decision or not but will be calling tomorrow.

If you know the application ID you can check app status online, updated to when they review your file again.

Originally that was an app I cancelled and then I just had them pull EX for it and it was declined right then and there so I'm assuming the denial I'm seeing on the website is from that. I checked it using the app ID.
