Citi Secured Card Application

I just applied for Citi Secured Card online and it said it is under processing and will require time and i will be notified within a week. Is this usual or do they approve for the card right away?

Per prior threads this appears standard. I believe either an approval email notification or withdrawal of the deposit from your account is the approval indicator, often received within the 3-5 day time frame.

Thanks. Yes i called them and thats what they also said. Do you know if the card ever graduate?

Graduation should happen at 18 months, if they approve it. If not, I don't know what they do, as they say the deposit is for 18 months.

They called me about 4 days later and left a VM with a code to call in. Called back and entered code, which told me I was approved.
