Citi pre qualify apr went up 5% after new amex inq!

I dont need a citi card right now but i like checking the pre qualify site to gauge their preliminary grade on me. TU 727 EQ 725 EX just dropped 13pts to 723 after new amex inq (approved ED) AAOA 11 months. Prior to amex inq (now 11) ciri had me 17.99% on 4 cards. Now 22.99%! That's a big jump.

I am pre-approved for all of their cards too,  but they never give me anything lower than 22.99%,  even tho all of my scores are above 800,  and clean reports.  Needless to say,  I don't have any Citi cards.

Good news is that it can be fairly easy getting APR reduced after the fact.

My last Citi app gave me 19.24% but I got it reduced to 13.24% after activation.
