I must be evading their radar, then.

Re: Nasa fcu

This sounds awesome! I'm hoping they can show me some great love. I want to know though if I have a chance at applying next month? I filed for BK in Oct 2012 and it was discharged in Dec 2012, I think12/18/12, but I can't remember exactly when it was filed in Oct, but I'm assuming 10/18/12. So does that mean I have to wait until after the 18th of next month to maximize my chances or just wait until Nov or Dec? I also haven't had any baddies since then, but I do have a private chase student loan that's been in default since before the BK, although I've been making monthly payments on it for over 3 years now. Lastly, how are people joining without apping for a CC first? Isn't there some sort of club you can join for like $5 that lets you become a member or something like that?

Re: Nasa fcu

From my experience just a tip is that if you are pending have your app number available and contact NASA via live chat. Explain you are just checking on status. Women told me it would be about 2-3 days for a response and then I xed out chat. Immediately after got Docusign and Approval.

Re: Nasa fcu

Okay, so now that I finally have my membership approved and I finally got a deposit into the share savings (I can't believe I ended up going into DC and making a deposit in person today...), I went ahead and took the plunge on the CC app.  Got the 2-3 day pending message like so many of you, so it's come to the waiting game.  I checked Experian and they did a SOFT pull for it (yay!), further corroborating the "open new account, get approved, and then app for CC" notion.  Fingers crossed that they don't decide to HP me during review, but we'll see what happens!

I'm kinda bummed that, in between my membership app two days ago and my CC app today, one of my new accounts started reporting just today.  Thanks a lot for lowering my chances with NASA, Macy's! Smiley Tongue

Re: Nasa fcu

How did you receive SP info from EX? I am going to pull a CR in the morning to verify, but know from experience they do not include SP info on report. Did you use dispute method?
